Engineering activities are based on the study of the production process, which is typically tailored to the specific requests of the Client. The development of the project includes the dedicated installation layout, each single equipment design and the detailing of all networks and ancillary works.
The most up-to-date design tools and instruments are used in this activity, including Autodesk (Autocad 2D/3D, Inventor, ESApro, Advance steel 3D) and Bentley (Microstation).
This section includes the procurement of materials for the in-house Original Equipment Manufacturing and the purchasing of dedicated commercial components. Rigorous inspection, expediting and document control activities are utilized to complete the work including the arrangement of the shipment to site.
For each project, Engitec appoints a Project Management Team assigned for the complete execution of the project. The team is lead by a Project Manager who is responsible for the Contract administration in accordance with its spirit as agreed with the Client.
"Proprietary" equipment designed in-house to meet special requirements of the technology are fabricated by SAMEC SpA, the manufacturing workshop of the Group, located in the area of Cremona, Italy.
Equipment and components from external sources are procured by Engitec in compliance with the qualification procedure of QA manuals.
All the processes are in full compliance with the most stringent environmental regulations worldwide.
Research and Development
The R&D group is dedicated to the study and innovation of non-ferrous metals recycling and production technologies.
During a project development R&D operates in combination with engineers from the Process Department for the examination of the Client’s input and determination of the output figures for the definition of the best applicable technology for the scope.
Through "After-Sale Service", Engitec aims to offer Clients a long term relationship for the support of any possible issue that could raise during the life of the Plant, such as regulatory policy changes, technological updating, spare parts supply or equipment revamping.
Construction and Commissioning
Engitec assists and supervise the Customer during the full period of construction, commissioning and start-up phases, until all guarantees are met and the plant is taken over by the Client.
Engitec Senior Technologists are available to assist the Client during the production set-up as well as to transfer experience for production improvements.
The training of Plant operators is mainly carried out on site during the phases of Plant installation and start-up. This is accomplished throught the support of the Engitec provided operating and maintenance manuals and hands-on training.
In some cases the expertise of plant operators can be enriched also through classroom theoretical instructions.
