Department
Engitec's Research Department started his activity in 1986.
Its
first goal has been the development of a process for the treatment
of salt slag produced by secondary aluminium metallurgy; a process
which has been applied in an industrial plant in 1990 at Alcan
Italiana S.p.A.
At
the same time, Engitec develop an electrochemical system for
the recovery of lead from spent batteries, to furtherly re-use
the different components of the batteries.
The
steel and non-ferrous metals industry, all over the world, usually
meets many difficulties as far as satisfaction the more stringent
environmental regulations in their usual technologies.
Engitec’s
solutions to all these problems are mainly performed by hydrometallurgic
and by inorganic and organic electrochemistry to reach the goal
of "Clean Technology".
