THE HYSTORY

   

 

1980 - Engitec is established, through a split of the Technical dept. of Tonolli Group. The company uses to design and built plants for the Tonolli Group, which operate the Automatic Battery Breaker Plants since 1971.
1983 - Starting up of the first commercial plant for Automatic Breaking and separation of spent acid lead battery with paste desulphurisation and sodium sulphate production (CX Technology)).
1985 - The Company starts to promote its capabilities outside the Tonolli Group.
1986 - The Engitec R&D Company is established to research for innovative clean technologies for the metals industries.
1991 - Joint Venture between the R&D subsidiary of Engitec and the German company BUS, part of Metallgesellschaft Group.
1992 - Starting up of the first commercial plant for the treatment of the Aluminium Salt Slag (STE Technology).

 

 

 

1995 - Engitec moves from Milan downtown to the new proprietary building in Novate Milanese.
Starting up of the Pilot plant for the electro winning of lead through direct leaching of Galena (FLUBOR Technology)
1996 - Starting up of the first commercial plant for the production of Zinc Metal out of EAF Dust (EZINEX Technology).
2000 - Engitec acquires the participation of ECOCHEM patent Company.
2006 - Engitec R&D is incorporated into Engitec. Engitec complete the trial on a commercial plant of the new Paste Super-Desulphurization process, for the further development of the CX Technology.
